Dear Client,

Abreu online would like to inform that a new functionality, the Multicurrency configuration, has been implemented in the Reservations System, which allows the Client to choose the currency in which to obtain the availability results and confirm the reservation.
 
With this functionality, the Client has several currencies available with only one login credential (username + password).
 
The activation of the Multicurrency feature is made by the Abreu online team and the requests for its proper configuration should be sent to our Commercial Staff.
 
This functionality is ready to be implemented for both Site Clients and XML Clients that use the new API.
 
Soon it will be available for XML Clients whose integration occurred before September 2015 (the update will be informed in due time), since these Clients will have to perform a small adaptation in the API in order to allow this functionality, which includes introducing the pre-reservation API method.
 
Both Brazilian Clients and Abreu Tours Clients will be included in the second phase of this functionality, which is still under development, due to the existence of specific business rules in those markets.
 
 
Operation in Site Clients:
When entering the Reservations System, the Client’s default currency is automatically selected, but the System allows the Client to choose another currency, if desired. The available currencies are those defined when the agency was created (in the image, EUR, GBP, BRL and USD).



When choosing the room(s) it is also possible to change the currency:



Continuing the reservation process, it finishes with the previously chosen currency.
 
Operation in XML Clients:
At the moment of the hotel search, the Client may select one of the previously defined currencies and it will get results in that currency. An XML Client has another option which is not to choose a specific currency which then returns the results in the hotel's contracting currency, thus incurring the exchange rate risk to the Client. If the hotel's contracting currency is not one of the Client’s allowed currencies, the hotel's contracting currency will be converted to the Client’s default currency.
 
Continuing the reservation process, it finishes with the previously chosen currency.
