Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort and Casino:
- Bahamas

The Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort and Casino would like to update you on the current enhancements taking place in the area surrounding their beautiful resort.
As part of the development process for the future travel destination, Baha Mar, an area of Cable Beach is in the midst of several projects. These projects will not only help create more unique vacation experiences for visitors, but will further enhance Cable Beach's position as a sought-after destination within The Bahamas.
The area east of the resort, which includes the Wyndham Nassau Resort, is where these projects are currently taking place. The Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort and Casino is not under construction, nor will it be. It is fully operational, continuing to serve as an exciting destination for families, couples and groups visiting Nassau.
The enhancements taking place are not visible from general guest areas, including all guestrooms. They do not anticipate any noise at the resort or for it to impact the guests in any way. The only facility that is currently unavailable to guests is the Cable Beach Golf Course, which is now closed and being redeveloped into a Jack Nicklaus designed championship course. They anticipate that the golf course will be ready to welcome golfers in late 2013.
Some elements of Baha Mar are already complete and have added to the guest experience. The new Bay Street allows easy entrance to the resort and has added an inviting jogging/walking path, which is beautifully landscaped. The scenic beach expansion will also allow guests to walk farther along Cable Beach than before. Viewing platforms were built so that guests can experience the wetland areas, which teem with wildlife. Additionally, the Pompey Village open-air market is now open. Located directly across the street from the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort and Casino, this gives guests access to a variety of new cultural shopping options during their stay in addition to the existing shops already on property.
